Bank with 205 Branch DVR and Central Monitoring

EKTECH implemented Digital Video Surveillance for the entire 205 branches of a Bank in Malaysia nationwide with Central Monitoring at Head Office. The project consists of supplying and installing an integrated solution with new cameras in Banking Halls and pin-hole cameras in ATM machines, networked Branch Digital Video Recorders and Central Monitoring Software.
The system allows the Bank to monitor the security at the branches by alerting Head Office via alarm notification of any unauthorised access to the bank premise (Video Motion Detect Alarm), tampering or loss of cameras (Video Loss Alarm), tampering or loss of recording or server (DVR Off / Non Recording Alarm). The Bank then can access the DVR to visually verify the alarm.
The system is integrated and networked together via the existing branch Wide-Area-Network running on very low bandwidth.

Condo Buildings and Lifts – Smart Cabling
The project involves installing and commissioning Digital Video Recorders with CCTV Cameras across the 3 apartment buildings, carparks and in 9 lift cabs in a very large area. Smart cabling using active and passive transmitters and twisted-pair cables was utilised to transmit video over long distance without video loss and less inteference.

Remote Surveilllance with Audio using IP Cameras over ADSL Broadband using Dynamic IP
The client wanted to remotely monitor its branch office across the country from their HQ using their existing ADSL Broadband (Streamyx) which only supports DDNS Dynamic IP. EKTECH implemented a Mpeg-4 IP Surveillance Camera solution that supports DDNS Dynamic IP that allowed the client to view their remote office with audio capability at very low cost without having to upgrade to the cmore costly leased line.
The Dynamic IP is resolved via one of EKTECH web services. The IP Surveillance Cameras utilses Mpeg-4 which allowed very good images and streamed across at reasonable speed over the limited bandwidth.
Please contact us for more details on IP Surveillance Cameras and DDNS Services.

IP Surveillance Cameras over LAN
The client had a state-of-the art Data Center with structured cabling laid. It was natural to install IP Surveillance Cameras using the available LAN infrastructure. The IP Surveillance Cameras also gives them the flexbility of expansion and choosing where their control and monitoring stations should be. Customers with Intelligent Buidling and Structured Cabling laid should consider using IP Cameras as they give tremendous flexibilty without been restricted by massive cabling.
Please contact us for more details on IP Surveillance Cameras and Networking.

School Surveillance
Using a combination of Analog and Acti IP Video Server streaming video over an ADSL connection to the Internet, a school is able to monitor the activities and movement of persons in and out of the school on-site as well as remotely. With the cameras, the teachers are able to monitor on-site the activities around the school ground whilst the parents are able to check and monitor the activities remotely. This provides the parents the comfort feeling that the children are safe within the school grounds.

EKTECH's Implementation of 3G Wireless Transmission of Surveillance Video from Mobile Police Vehicle for PDRM
EKTECH's Polis Di-Raja Malaysia (PDRM) Mobile DVR and 3G Video Streaming to Command Centre Project running successfully and reported in the press. EKTECH was requested by PDRM to equip PDRM's patrol car with Mobile Digital Video Recorder and stream the video from the moving vehicle from anywhere back to the PDRM Command Centre.  We successfully proved our ability to do it with very qood quality live video streamed at a good speed of 6 frames per second sufficient for the commander to give view and take action. The challenge was to be able to stream video from a moving vehicle without breaking and at a good enough resolution and frame speed to be of any use to the Police Commander  News cutting from Oriental Daily. EKTECH achieved this by using our advance IP Video Solutions and Guardian Mobile DVR

Hybrid IP Video and DVR Solution for Oil & Gas Company, OilFab Bhd in Westport, Malaysia.

EKTECH together with SI Partner, Covista Resources, successfully implemented a hybrid CCTV system utilizing  an analogue Digital Video Recorder and Cameras with  IP Video Servers to stream video signal wirelessly from the cameras, in Westport, Port Klang, Malaysia.

OilFab, the customer, had 2 Speed Dome out of 16 cameras, located long distance in the fabrication yard.
Cabling works would be difficult and expensive, so the customer opted for a wireless solution.

EKTECH implemented a wireless IP solution using ACTi IP Video Servers to stream the video signal to the DVR in the control room.  The video signal is then converted back to analogue using ACT's IP Video Transcoder,  to be recorded on the Guardian Angel DVR.  The customer has the ability to control the PTZ Speed Dome using an analogue keyboard.

Apart from requiring a hybrid solution, the customer also requested for Realtime Recording at the highest resolution, we achieved this by using Acti Realtime IP Video, streamed at 25 FPS in  Mpeg-4 ASP and our Guardian Angel Realtime Recording DVR recording at 25FPS  in Mpeg-4 H.264 High Resolution format.

An internet connection to the DVR allows Senior Management to view and control the PTZ Speed Dome which allows them to see the progress of the oil rig fabrication remotely.
